Home grown POWER BELT type bullets?????
« Reply #30 on: May 30, 2003, 01:42:59 PM »
Im still having nightmares from shooting 70grs. of 777with those 365 plastic wizbangers, OUCH!  I would have a severe flinch, probably couldnt shoot with my eyes open knowing that I was shooting a 100grs. 777 load. My shoulder is turning yellow just thinking about it. The only real accuracy we could achive has with a sabot jacketed bullet. I agree with John that the Black diamonds rifleing is to shallow to grip a lead bullet( the ones we tried).  :bye:  :toast:

Aw heck Grump,
I think we could have tried'm all, even the short REAL for the .50 cal in that thing and they'd strip, just plain ain't made for'm.
Seem's I learnd them REAL have a large top ring and the bottom 2 are for grease. Then a feller has ta mess with proper lube ta git'm ta shoot good.
My best advise is,,,,,, for all you fellas what got them new inline things--
--sell'm cheap ta a new feller(that ya don't know, and likley ain't gonna see again) and buy a slow twist, sum tickin,RB,an leggins. Learn how it shoot's, then go and hunt game, the fun is in the hunt, the shootin part :D  is easy,( if ya got a round ball)
That plastic stuff ain't gonna work! it's just a passing fad. :-D
