Any suggestions for ammo for a Savage 93F? Also does anyone shoot a 93fv offhand? Is it too heavy on the forward part?

Did you read the post that is a sticky at the top of the forum?
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Not a problem that pretty much explains it all when it comes to ammo and rimfires.  It is nice to know that info. When I was a kid you bought what ever the local store carried usually the Remington ammo with the Golden colored bullets that is what I remember most. Most places did not carry a large selection 22 bullets were 22 bullets as most were concerned. They probably carried some shorts too and maybe a bos of longs even though longs were fading out even in the early 60's when I got my first 22.  I think if we had known there was a big difference in 22 ammo back then and how it made a difference we would have beem more than happy to try different brands if we could have found it. there is a much better choice to pick from today.
