When does your season start this year (07), and how is the hunting the first couple of weeks. Rich

I'm not really sure which season you are referring to, but let me give it a shot.  Squirrel season....starts the beginning of Sept., wait till around the end of Oct. to the middle of November before you hunt, cools off pretty good by then, and the mosquitoes are a lot less of a problem.  Rabbits opens Nov. 2nd, and is usually good right from the get go.  There is more coons around than there has been in past years from what my parents have told me.  Deer season depends upon the part of the state in which you hunt.  I hunt in Crawford/Wyandot counties, and usually fill my tags by the second day.  I don't hunt for bucks though, just to fill the freezer.  There is good hunting throughout the state, but in general, you will find the most and biggest deer/mile around the south eastern part of the state.  Here is a link so that you can see what the regulations for this year are...good luck.
