« on: June 27, 2007, 06:23:16 PM »
while i've had good luck with duracoat on metal surfaces, i've never tried it on wood. has anyone ever tried finishing a wooden rifle stock with it? wondering in your experience how it helf up? it seems to do pretty well on receivers and barrels so far.

I'm thinking it will not be a very good match.  It is very hard, but not very flexy, my guess is that you will get lots of little chips out of it on any soft surface.  Best paint I have found for wood stocks is the spray on bed liner.  It is extremely tough and doesn't chip.  I have only used it in black, however it comes in other colors.  Larry
