7-30 Waters Formed Cases
« on: June 29, 2007, 04:39:05 AM »
Which mfg of 30-30 cases has been found to be the preferred case when forming 7-30 Waters.
Or is there any preferences?
I'm sure not going to pay over $30/20 for them even if I have to turn them from brass myself!
Thanks for any feedback on this.

You can buy formed brass from Eben Brown at www.eabco.com for $30 per hundred. This is new, unfired brass made from Remington 30-30 WCF cases.

I found Win to be more consistent than Rem for wall thickness, although Rem has more internal volume.

As of late, the quality control department at Winchester must be on vacation or something. 30-30 brass, among others, has been horrible in terms of overall quality.

I got some 7-30 brass from EABCO several months ago.  It was Win 30-30 brass. Came in a bag of 100.  And I dont think the price was all that high. Maybe 25-30$

As for buying 30-30 brass. Never. Hardly no one reloads 30-30's around here and I get all there once fired brass. FREE.  I stock pile the stuff. Keep the brands seperated and in boxes of 50. I use this brass for my 7x30 Waters, 30 Herrett, 30-30 AI, and my own 30-30's. I've always been a brass pack rat, just ask the wife.  ;D ;D ;D
