I actually got mine as a second hand one that had never been mounted, but at a big discount. New it is $260 but I got mine for $180 shipped. new they are available at
http://www.dixiegunworks.com/default.php?cPath=22_129_647It is functional, it is a 3X power. The crosshairs are fixed inside and adjustments are made outside by moving the entire scope up or down and left or right.
I'm still working on the rear mount, and it is about 90% complete. I tried to buy existing mounts and was told by the companies that make/sold them they doubt it would work on my target rifle. Soooo, I'm making my own.
My rear mount will be for elevation only and I'll be making the front mount for windage.
Here is the earlier thread with a few pics.
http://www.gboreloaded.com/forums/index.php/topic,120772.0.htmlIt will look slightly different than even the paper model. I've been working on it some more tonight, about 2 hrs worth. I'm to the point of needing to cut the slots in the vertical riser portion of the rear mount. I'm not sure yet of the best method since I am not a machinist.
I haven't been able to shoot it yet, not with the scope anyway, but will surely post the results when I do.
Tim,
Did I ask you before? How does your eye line up to the scope with the non-monte carlo stock?
