The wife informed me yesterday that for my b-day next month she'll buy me a new Bearcat.     Never shot one but I've always looked at them and thought "that's just a really nice little gun"  Little does she know I'm buying myself a new HK P7M8.

Bearcat's are great. You can carry them all day and not even notice it. I always take mine to the woods with me.

Yup...and Father's Day is just around the corner.  Let's see...new lawnmower or new gun...new suit or new gun...new stereo or new gun?  Hmmm?

NEW GUN!   :-D

Time to start dropping some hints...

Oh, man!  You've got to be kidding?  You've got one gun hidden away...another on order and one coming for your birthday!  You're my hero!    :-D

If I pulled that kind of hocus-pocus around my place, I'd be sleeping with the dog!  My wife keeps track of every household expense on Quicken...including my shooting expenses.  She reminds me just how expensive my vice is every April...I tell her that it keeps me out of the bars!  Seems like a reasonable argument to me...right?

Guess I'll go see what a footrub might get me...it's got to be at least worth a box of .22 shells!   :)

Well my wife already gave me my fathers day gift, birthday gift and anniversary gift combined.  It was an Encore 25/06 barrel, scope, base & rings, dies and brass.

Last year I came home from work one day and there was a gun safe in the back of the truck for the same three occasions.

Year before that she bought me a Win 94 Trapper for Father Day.

Can't wait till next year, even though I buy plenty on my own throughout the year.

It is great to have a good women BlkHawk73.  We are very lucky indeed.

BlkHawk73 & Bullseye it sounds like you got a couple of good women there. I cant complain about mine either though. She has bought several guns and other shooting items for me over the years and in April for our anniversaryshe told me that she would just pay for the Contender .22 match barrel I had all ready ordered from Ed's. She bought a Weaver 2X7 rimfire scope for me for Christmas And she didn't even say a word when she found out I already have enough money put back in the gun safe to buy a Ruger #1 45/70 when one comes in at the sporting goods store. I love that woman more everyday.

Over the years, my wife has bought about 1/3 of my guns.  Mostly, she buys the ones I would love to have but refuse to spend “that kind” of money on.  I’ve got a Springfield M21 at the top of my wish-list and Fathers Day is coming up, maybe I’ll get lucky.  :P

I'm lucky to have found one of the good ones. My wife has bought me a new brass tumbler, a T/C Omega, a Knight TK200 bp shotgun, and a Ruger Bisley 45 Colt. She also encouraged me to buy a NIB S&W Model 40 Centennial that I saw at a gun show - just like the gun my brother carried with him for years - Good thing - I've never seen another one! We are very lucky if we can find a wife who understands the accessories that go along with our passion.

I've also got one of the good ones....

I get primers by the thousands, 15-20 pounds of powder, cases, new reloading books and such every Christmas.

She gave me a Beretta semi auto pistol as a layoff present the only time I ever got laid off from a job.  I asked if I was supposed to go to work the next day and go postal with it!!!

Got me a Dillon SL900 as a birthday present a few years back.

Gets me a 30 bird card at a local Pheasant club for Father's day each year and signs my Lab's name to the Father's day card.

Tells me to buy any guns and loading gear I want whenever I want it and backs it up by bargaining with whoever's selling and then handing him the money when the deal's done.

And the capper, a few months ago at a gun show with her, I was looking at a high grade double gun that cost $25K and she said....if you want it, buy it.  We can afford it.

Incredible....

well now let me tell ya how the myronman gets it done.   i get what i want (usually of equal or lesser value than what she spends on antiques) and my collecton has gotten to the point she dont know when a new one shows up anymore.   even when i lay it out for her to see.   all i ever get is "when you going to put your guns away where they belong?"  "its been laying there for weeks."    almost want to say, " that is impossible.  i just bought it yesterday."     8)  we all have our vices,   and like one said already,  at least we aint drinking it away.

 You all are so lucky. I sneak into the gun shop to look around while "grocery shopping". Got caught once when the "lady" at the gun shop called the house and talked to my wife. She (the wife) sez "you don't need any more guns".

I now have a shop of my own. She hasn't a clue of what is mine or the shops. She has not figured out the "merchandise' with "NOT FOR SALE' is a personal firearm.  This could cost me dearly.  Boy I'm going to miss her.

Now where is that sale flyer!!!!
