SAMCC July shot
« on: July 02, 2007, 06:24:13 AM »
Sunday was the regualry monthly cannon shoot for the South African Miniature Cannon Club in Durban.

We haven't been very consitant this year after the passing of longtime member Mike Pilgrim.  Last months match was cancelled so the Club could attend an event in Pretoria.

This month we had 11 guns on the line.  Talk about rolling thunder.  The only results I have to report was I took the Natal Field Artillery Floating Trophy for high shooter...of course that's with handicap.  No way I could beat any one without the handicap.

Double D,

Mike and I extend our heartiest congratulations to you.  We both studied your previously posted pictures and diagrams explaining the sighting procedure you use and we are in complete agreement that you must have considerable skill to excel with such an abstract sighting method.  We also agree with Bill.  Spiffy looking trophy!!

Best regards,

Tracy and Mike

Douglas -

An earned honor.

I guess this will lower your handicap?

Bob, it would be a nifty Trophy to bring back with me. But it's a traveling trophy and  must be returned every month!!! I will just have to keep on winning it!
