Pachmayr's new Encore grips ?

  Has any one tried these out? Wonder how they compare to the T/C factory rubber grips in feel and recoil absorption? In reviewing their web site the Pachmayr grips look to angle back more than the std. ones. I like the Grippers that I mounted on my Contender and am thing about trying the new Encore model.

I have them and like them a lot. They move my trigger finger a little closer so I have a better feel of the trigger. They are a little thicker in the middle than the factory rubber grips. I haven't shot them on any big boomers yet but do feel they take some of the recoil out of my 7mm-08 (not that it recoiled that hard before). The forend is a little heavier too makig it sit on the rest or shooting stix a little better. Just my .02 hope it helps you out.

I ordered a set over two months ago direct from Lyman.  Haven't received them yet or heard anything from them .  I have the Decelerator gripper on all my Contenders and hope to make the Encore match. GOOD SHOOTIN', Walt

I can tell you right now that the grip does not feel anything like the Contender gripper grip. It is much thicker. However it does feel better than the factory grip.
