What's the cost
« on: July 09, 2007, 04:13:49 AM »
of NEF fitting their barrel to my frame? Is the price of the barrel and fitting one in the same?  What about a trigger job from them factory. Remember reading on the SASS Wire, I think, about a feller buying a barrel and having them work the action at no extra charge. Anybody else had this done?
I'm turning 40 tomorrow and my wife is buying me my first Handi rifle tomorrow afternoon. Found one local in 308 for about $220. It's a plain stock just like I wanted but wish they had it in 45/70. Oh well. Was planning on buying the 308 barrel later so now I'll have it sooner. ;D

They'll do a trigger job to about 3lbs or a little more, but if it's already less than 5lbs, they'll probably charge for it, they recently started charging for some of the trigger jobs. :'(

I bought a couple of new barrels and was surprised when the gun came back with an improved trigger. I hadn't asked for it. Thanks NEF!
