A new Handi-man
« on: August 04, 2007, 01:56:36 PM »
On Thurs. the 26th. my son became a handi-holic by birth. He might be the smallest handi-man yet at 7lbs. 15ozs. and 21.5 in long. ;) But has a smooth trigger pull and a steady hand.
I'm such the proud papa that I just had to share.

Congratulations to both you and your wife. It looks as if you have a fine new addition to the family and a new hunting and fishing partner to boot....<><....:)

Enjoy him while he is little because they grow up so fast , one day you will be thinking what a quiet little man and the next thing you will be looking him eye to eye .

Congrats to you all.  Enjoy him while you can.  One thing you'll find as they grow older, is time with them was NEVER a waste in their younger years.  You can easily look back and say, boy I wish we had...., but you'll never say "we did too much together".

My twin sons (22) and my daughter (27) still love the outdoors.  My daughter doesn't hunt, but she out fishes her brothers ;D, and loves to camp.

One son lives 70 miles away, the other is moving to the east coast (we live on the west) and that's when you start to regret time NOT spent.

Enjoy him together.
God, Family, and guns, in that order!

Congratulations on your fine looking son. Now comes the fun part making memories that the two of you can remember for a life time. I have two sons one is 10 and the other six. My oldest is not a hunter, but likes to fish and shoot, my youngest is an avid outdoors man and shot his first deer last year at age five...you think your proud now wait till he does something that you have tought him to do and does it well. Hope all continues to go well for mother and son..

I was going to say something similar to this but Handirifle beat me to it.  Enjoy every stage of your son's life.  Each stage is different, and presents its own challenges and pleasures.  As Alabama once sang, "thank God for kids."
"When I am on the trail, it leads me through the forest, across valleys and streams. It is there, alone with God and his creations, that I find sanctuary."
