.22BR barrel $200 from MGM...now what?
« on: July 02, 2007, 12:16:48 PM »
Ok, so i've always wanted a .22 BR for my Encore.  15" would have been preferable, but Match Grade Machine has a Encore pistol barrel sale right now, $200 for their in-stock barrels.  I bought the .22 BR that was available.  Does anyone have any experience with this in the Encore pistol set-up?  I'm a sucker for accurate cartridges, I'm loving my 6ppc rifle barrel I have for my Encore and I can't imagine this one won't shoot as well or better.  Recommendations welcome...

22 BR is a fine caliber, I shoot H-322, 30.0 grains and Hornaday 50 grain V-max bullets. At 100 yards, Groups 1/2 inch if I do my part, also 1-1/12 inches at 200yards. !5" Bullberry barrel. Lou

That sounds good, it looks like all the powders that I use in the 6PPC will work well in the 22BR.
