I took my old blr, steel reciever and flat clip 1983 model. for a repair. The rifle kept mis-firing. and I got the flinches so bad I couldn't hit anything with any rifle I had.
Anyway took it out of the case and they said they don't work on these steel reciever blr's any more and sold all the parts to them, I was expecting a free repair as they have always done in the past. Gave me a card to midwestgunworks.com who bought all the parts. It was on the way home so I stopped in. What a shock on the price for inspection,parts and repair ! My bargin BLRisn't a bargin anymore, but having no where else to go, I left it. Guess I will find out in 3 weeks if they got it repaired.
I really think it only needed cleaningneeded cleaned. I have 3 of these rifles hope none of the others give me trouble.
