New remington triggers
« on: July 07, 2007, 07:01:40 AM »
Could someone help me?  I have adjusted alot of old remington triggers.  I just acquired a new model 7 with the new trigger.  Can someone tell how to lighted the new trigger.  The trigger is still to heavy.  I have not had time to take the action out of the stock yet.  Thanks in advance.

Deerman12, I just got one of the new Rem Triggers with a CDL 7mag SS. The new triggers look a lot like the old ones. (3 adjust. screws). All I did on mine was back the pull weight screw out until I was pleased. I never had to mess with the creep or sheer. Trigger is very crisp. I don't have a scale but I would guess I'm between 21/2 and 3 lbs.
If you have done one one of the old ones the new Mark X should not be a problem. Most every trigger I have done on the remy's has been done with just the one adjustment. Only on a couple did I have to adjust all 3 settings.

Good Luck, DM

I found information on the new triggers in the Snipercentral forum under Rifles. Look for Remington trigger.  Backout the front allen screw to ligten, screw in to make heavier.
