Ultra Comp. Question
« on: July 25, 2007, 03:16:15 PM »
A recent posting on the NEF/H&R Classifieds for a 30-06 Ultra Comp. brings a question for other Ultra Comp. owners.

Since the Ultra Comp. was only around for a short time and was limited to the .270 & 30-06, has there been any experiences of the barrel from one Ultra Comp. receiver fitting on another Ultra Comp. without any adjustments or modifications? There was mention made that perhaps the Ultra Comp. rifles may have been built with a bit more care.

Or are the chances of a matching fit the same as the rest of the Handi-Rifle line?

Thanks.

Bill

They're no different in fit than any others, I've had 4 of em, still have 3, the only thing that I've noticed about them is the finish is nicer, much smoother, but that's typical of all older Ultras which I have several of also. ;)
