357 acusport bisley getting a big brother
« on: August 02, 2007, 02:26:11 PM »
I posted here is little back that I just got an acusport 357 stainless bisey.  WOW I like that gun.  It is very accurate and a joy to shoot.  It was intended for messing and small game.

Well, some of you thought that it was a platform to turn into something bigger.  I checked into some pricing and then this acusport 44 magnum stainless came up for bid.  As it turned out.  For the price to convert the 357, I bought the 44.

Now the hard part.  Today I gave the funds to my dealer to send off and the eternal wait begins.

I can't speak to the .44 mag but I've had the .45 Colt/ACP for a couple years and the big bores are great!!  I bought one of the .357's but still haven't fired it...  So many guns, so little time!

Nice!  I was watching those Acusports myself.  had they been do-able for a very good price (hoping ppl didn't notice them) I'd have jumped on one or two myself.  I like 'em.

Several years ago I had 2 stainless 5.5 SUPERS converted to  BISLEYS with the BROWNELLS kits.  $175 for the kit, $85 to have Jim Stroh at ALPHA PRECISION install them plus a trigger job plus shipping.  Well worth it, as you'll find out when you shoot yours, but not cheap!

you just bought what is in my  opinion the finest over the counter handgun that ruger ever made. Ive owned mine for a while and it is definately the most accurate out of the box ruger ive ever owned. Ive had two 45 accusports that have gone down the road. There great guns too but neither held a candle to my 44mag. That one will NEVER be sold.

I fell for the .45 Colt.  I use it for my woods gun and enjoy shooting it.

Just another voice in the crowd!!!
