I was just wondering if you ever got that NcStar scope and what you thought of it. I purchased one myself to try. I noticed on mine when you turn the power up the eye relief gets a whole lot shorter. I'm going to mount mine on a 223 barrel and give it a shot. If youve tried yours out let me know what you think. Thanks

OP...I bought one also. Should get it later this week. I will post when I get it mounted. Might be several weeks...busy. :twisted:

i got it a few days ago. just to be quite honest it worries me for that kinnda money. i hope it holds up. havn't got it mounted yet, but i plan to try it out on my 30-30 improved barrel. when i recieved it, i was amazed at how good it looks. it's really clear and the eye relief seems ok to me. on most handgun scopes the eye relief does shorten as you turn up the power. just try to use it for your advantage. use the low power for hunting game, and the higher power for bench shooting. you can even adjust power settings to also adjust eyerelief for different shooting positions. i just try to work with it, instead of against it. i already had one in 2.5x on my 22/45. it works so well on the 22lr auto, i thought i'd try the 2x7 model on something with more recoil. i talked to shortgun, he has one that he has shot on several barrels that works fine. let's keep our fingers crossed and we'll try to keep informed on how they do. i gave a few dollars too much for mine(not much). you can get em from this site for $38 plus shipping. www.crankyfarmer.com

Kyode thanks for the reply.I ordered mine from cranky farmer and talked to the owner. He told me some of the guys arond there were mounting these scopes on 480 and 454's. He said he had only had a few come back. The way he talked they were working pretty good.The eye relief may just be me but seem like it changes more than my t c scope.But who can complain for a scope that cost less than 50 dollars delivered.Hope to shoot mine this weekend let you guys know what happens.

I read some of the post and thought no better not.Well while at the gun show two weeks ago i picked up two 2x7 pistol scopes from the Nc star rep for 65.00.I can say the rings that came with them went in the garbage.As for as the scope man these things are clear all edges were sharp eye relief seemed perfect.pulled scope off of a 44mag 10inch and a 375 14inch mounted both.Went to the range expecting glass falling out or wondering Zero.150 rounds through 44mag and 100 through 375.ZERO problems.I'am going back to the range next weekend and do some sure enough shooting and see what they will do.65.00 two scopes 250 rounds hell i feel i already got my money's worth.I think i will take one and let it beat around in the floor board of my truck for a week and see if it will still hold zero.If so it's going on my 14inch .223 coyote killing death ray.
