I RECENTLY PURCASED A 50 CAL ML 270 COMBO.TOOK BOTH TO HAVE SCOPE MOUNTED.ML HAS FORE END ATTACHMENT STUD WELDED TO BARREL,270 WAS JUST DOVETAILED AND LOOSE FIT IN BARREL.I NOTICED IN SOME PICURES OF OTHER PEOPLES IT LOOKS AS IF THEIR RIFLE BARRELS WERE WELD.SHOULD I BE CONCERNED?

I have a 30-06 barrel and mine is weld.

The dovetail is the latest style, it's adjustable, my first 7mm-08 barrel was welded, CVA replaced the barrel which has the adjustable style, my 300WM is also the new style. if you contact Mark at CVA, you can learn more about it.
