Its warrentied from century for two years. I'm taking mine shooting tomorrow and I'll post how it does. Or back it goes till they get it right.

I heard of the problems before I bought it but it was mainly the first batch of them I hope mine has no bugs or gremlins.

As I understand it, the "G3's" Being sold by Century are
made from C.E.T.M.E. Spare parts.  The 7.62 CETME
is a slightly different animal than the 7.62 NATO.
The CETME has a longer and lighter projectile.
Thus the springs in your "G3" may be a bit too light
for a full power 7.62 NATO round!
Your bolt may be taking some punishment from recoil
with light springs. Also, the gas system may need adjusting
to let a bit less gas through (Just a guess on that one)
I have an HK91 that (Knock on wood) I have never had
a single malfunction with, So it is a sound design.
Yours may just need a little TWEAKING here & there
to get it right!  There is a company offering FAL's
from spare parts also, You may find one of those
interesting also!

Your right 90 days from purchase. I looked at so many guns lately forgive me please. I came into some $$ that was owed to me and been buying more toys instead of drinking it or going to the casino which i don't drink or gamble but it sounds good?? Its just my excuse to buy more toys. But i have heard once the Cetme is right its awesome and some had problems and some don't but after two hundred rounds its broke in and only gets better. I have to shoot mine soon.           BigBill

My Century IS a G3 clone, not a CETME clone. While they may LOOK similar, they are NOT the same weapons and few parts interchange.

I've owned 5 Century-made firearms. 3 worked flawllessly from the 'get go'. One AS NEW L1A1 wouldn't run. Neither will this latest G3.

I should have gone with an OhioRapidFire FAL Carbine, but the G3's $3 mags were just too tempting.... :roll:  :cry:  :?

I'll try to find the article I read about the Century G3's
I think it was in the Shotgun News. It said that they
were made from the Spare parts kits of Spanish
CETME rifles built on Receivers that were made in the
good ol' U.S.A. to make them legal to sell here under
the Slick Willie Clinton assault rifle ban!

I cleaned and lubed my Cetme with moly and took it to the local range today. She fires without a problem I shot two boxes of ammo as quick as I could load her and it was flawless the whole time. She is so smooth for a 308 too its a very nice shooter I'd compare it to my hakim in smoothness I had that today too thats how I know.     BigBill

I must say the Cetme love began today!!!!!!! I just hope the others don't get jealous!!!!

I got a Century HKG3 last fall, and really like it. The only feed problems I had was trying some cast bullets with light loads that wouldn't reliably cycle the action. Increased the load, and function was flawless, although the added velocity opened the groups up to six inches at a hundred. A harder bullet will probably solve this. With jacketed bullets, absolutely no problems.

The only thing I was warned about is using 308 win. because of broken cases with the fluted chambers of the CETME. But with 308 nato rounds she has to be the sweetest semi i own and fires so fast and smooth too. It sure goes thru ammo fast too. I'm sure glad i bought mine even if it had problems its worth fixen for sure.                      BigBill
