What's Your Favorite Load?

My favorite load when I owned a lightweight .350RM was a 180-grain Speer over 46 grains of Reloder 7 for about 2400 fps.  It was a great short range deer load......but then you never mentioned what the heck you want to shoot with yours - targets, turkeys, rock chucks, moose.....?

Here's my hunting load - works great on black bear.

   Bullet: 225 gr Swift A Frame
   Powder: 59 gr IMR 4320r
   Primer: Win WLRM   
        MV: @ 2600fps

My hunting load is:

180 grain Hornady Interlok
52.5 grains of Reloader 7
2900 fps
OAL 2.790 - 2.795
My Ruger M77 won't feed with shorter OAL.

The .350 is my favorite caliber by far. This load shoots dead on to 100 yards and drops about 7" at 200 yards. Not flat shooting but certainly usable if you know your rifle.

You didn't mention what kind of rifle you have. My .350 is a Ruger M77 All Weather with a Nikon Buckmaster 4x12x40 scope. I replaced the trigger with one from Rifle Basix, but other than that, it is stock. It used to kick the heck out of me, but a pre-fit Limbsaver pad solved that problem. I used to have trouble getting thru a box of ammo, now I can shoot it all day. Still kicks, but it doesn't hurt. I get 1" groups at 100 yards - opening up to about 3" at 200. I have wanted a rifle in .350 since Remington first came out with them oh so many years ago. My wife bought it for me two Fathers Days ago. I love that woman.

Model 7 CDL. Bought it last Spring when They came out. Love it.  I, Too have wanted a 350, since I was a Kid. Messed up when I was 17. The 660/308 was $124, and The 660/350 was $144. Couldn't justify the extra Money. Boy, how Things have changed. By Todays Standards, I would buy 10 of Them, and not Think about it. Anyways. I had to bed The CDL and Float the Barrel. Got it shooting about an inch.(3 shots together in a .35 bore about covers an inch);  Sierra 225 - 58grs. RL15 - Fed.GMM.. Tried some of those Speer 220FN's, Last weekend, Same Load. They did well, too. I think this new CDL is as good a Gun as the old 600's/660's, and They are all much better than the 673. Never cared for the 673. Too Big, defeated the purpose of The Carbine. I put this CDL beside My Brothers 308 Rem. Mtn. Rifle (Late 80's/early 1990's), and You would swear the stock dimensions are the same. Anyways, It's fun too shoot and Load for, haven't knocked anything over with it,Yet, May have to be one of Those 250lb. Green Mtn. Bears, this Fall.
