Heavey barrels or sporters

What is the preference for coyote hunting heavy barrels or sporters. Just curious.

The classic calling rifle would be a short barrel sporter with a low power scope.  Larry

I've always used the heavy barreled rifles, just a personal thing. I don't walk far from my truck when making brush stands and in some cases I shoot from my truck ( legal where I live ). Matter of fact my truck is set up to hunt coyotes from. Great way to hunt if you're old lol.

I do not like the extra weight of a heavy barrel. I tend to do a lot of snowshoeing when hunting coyotes, so weight is a big thing. Besides that, I have not seen any difference in accuracy between the weights of barrels until several rounds are fired in quick succession.
