Steiner Military-Marine 7X50 Binocular
« on: August 13, 2003, 05:54:39 PM »
Guys,

Was wondering if anyone can tell me the Steiner home web site address or contact info? Have a pair of Military-Marine 7X50 that need a replacement rubber eye cup. Am gearing up for the Fall hunting season and want to get all my equipment in shape. Thanks in advance.

Sean

P.S. Anyone else own a pair of these, if so, what are your opinions of them?

X-man,

Go to our site www.theopticzone.com and lick on the Manufacturer link on the right hand side of the home page.  I believe that I have a link set up to go to the Steiner homepage.

I hope you have deep pockets. I was gonna replace the wore cups on my 6x30s until I found out they wanted about 1/3 as much for them as I paid originally for the binoculars new. Decided I really didn't need them nearly as badly as I thought.

Thanks for the replies guys. Found the Steiner site, which took me to www.bincocularsource.com. They had replacement eyecups for $10.00 ea. Shipping to Canada was $18 and change! $5.75 to USA. I'm going to get them to ship to my buddy Jim in IN who'll forward them to me. He's sending me back a couple of molds I lent him, so will be much more cost effective. I hate it when companies inflate their shipping costs like that though. For less than $4.00, you can ship two eye cups to Canada via USPS Global Priority.

They must have wised up and come down on them. Maybe I need to check again. Back several years ago when I checked they wanted right at $50 for a pair for my 6x30s plus shipping.
