28 ga. barrel.....22" or 26"?

I will soon be sending in for a 28 ga. barrel and was wondering the difference in performance in the 22" vs. the 26" barrel as they are both modified choke. This will be primarily for my wife to shoot. Some clay targets, Homeland Security, and some vermin and game are her uses.

I personally think that longer barrels on shotguns are more user friendly. The balance is better and they're easier to point and swing. If you're shortening the stock for her then the 22" would be ok, but I'd still lean towards the 26"...

Why not get both and sell the one she doesn't like in the classifieds?

Markus, A good idea for sure. I'll have to see if the coins are right to pull off this monetary feat. So far I can justify paying for one barrel.

If you can only afford one, I think I'd go with the longer barrel, it's just easier to shoot. Performance wise, there's probably no difference. With modern shotgun shells all of the powder will be burned within 22".
