I dont have much but would any of these be ok for yotes?

I am just getting into hunting and i have developed quite an interest in coyote.  I would like to go out and try my luck but my cabinet is only half full. I have a .177 pellet rifle, a marlin model 60 .22lr set up with a 4x32 for small game, an older mossberg model 195 bolt action 12ga with c lect choke, a cva hawken .50cal and a traditions buck hunter pro inline .50 cal muzzleloader with a bushnell 3-9x32 scope on it

I know right off that the pellet gun, .22 and the hawken are out. The .177 and .22lr just arent enough unless you are face to face pretty much. The hawken i would try only because i am not confident with my accuracy.  So i guess its between the 12 gauge and the .50 cal inline. Which do you think would be better? or would either one be ok? if so what loads? In the inline i shoot 295 grain powerbelt hollowpoint bullets

i would use shotgun over the inline. but what is effective range of a 22 LR bullet? of course sounds like a good reason to buy new gun to me if possible.

I'd go with the 12 ga. set on full since you can get a follow-up shot if you are quick if close shots are anticipated due to terrain.  The in-line .50 with scope will give you some extra range.  Throw both in the vehicle and use whatever best suits the cover you are hunting in.  It looks like you "need" a new rifle!  Look into a Handi in .223 or .243.  You might be able to pick up a good used one for a fair price.

A 12 ga. shotgun, full choke loaded with 4 buck is a  very lethal weapon out to 40-50 yds. I'd go with it

I have an old Mossberg bolt shotgun, mine is a 20 ga. with chokes, Model 195 with the plastic finger grip on the pistol grip.

Does sound like im in need of a new rifle but right now the budget doesnt allow for that. Im hoping to go to a gun show in december and maybe trade it.  The mossberg is great for an older gun, i guess i will have to do some more practicing and try much luck..well first find a place where i want to try calling them in. Thanks for the help guys.  Also i know i had right away tossed the idea of using the marlin model 60 but what would be an affective range for game that size with a .22lr bullet? I dont think i would ever try it but just curious

Anything will kill them by blowing huge hole's out the other side, or blowing them into piece's like i used to do with the '06.

IF you're into furs.  Use the various .17's larger than HMR as a min.  OR .223 with 40gr v max as they don't exit.  Even a 50gr will blow large holes out the far side that will reduce the pelt value and make sewing hole's nasty.

Shucks man, borrow one, or get it from some hock shop cheap.  Work the furs and use them to buy you a nice rifle with good glass.  Back in '99 I found a place buying prairie dog heads for $2 each. No kidding!  I rebarreled my Sako, new glass, new stock, bipod etc with p/d head money.  Plus had enough for a couple tanks of gas left over from one summers shooting.  The anti's have fouled up that program now.  Sure was great while it lasted though.

I don't know about the .22 LR, it seems too light for coyotes, but if you got a head shot you could get an instant kill.  A body shot may kill, but not immediately.  Even coyotes deserve better than that.  I would trade the .22 for a .22 mag.  If you are stuck with the .22, get Stingers or some other high-performance ammo.

This is very interesting. Who was paying you and why. Were they trying to wipe out all PDogs. For that kind of money a person could make a living at it. Dale
