Mueller Sport Dot on a Handi

Opinions of a Mueller 3X 9  40 sport dot illuminated scope on a 308 Handi or
H&R for big game hunts ? I posted the same ? in the optics section with little feedback .

I don't have the 3-9x, but I do have 3 Sport Dots, the 2-7x, 3-10x and 4-16x, great optics, I have 6 Muellers total,  the 3-10x44 is on my second 280 Barrel now, it was on the original before I rechambered it to Improved. The 3-10x developed a slight amount of moisture on the inside of the objective lens, not enough to affect the view, but you could see it in the flare if you got just to the edge of the eyebox. I've had it for 3+yrs, returned it to Rich at Mueller, he sent me a new one-piece tube model the next day. I'm thinkin real hard about ordering a 8.5-25x44 Tactical soon, I've been real impressed with Mueller Optics since the very first, they've never let me down, nor have I seen their Customer Service disappoint anyone. ;)

I have the 2x7 Mueller on my 45-70, doing great so far, I have 2 of them............the other on my Stevens 25-06

Good choice, he'll love it!! I've been thinkin about ordering an Extreme, same as the Sport Dot, but with no illumination and a duplex reticle.
