Belt Mountain still open?
« on: November 23, 2007, 04:52:55 AM »
I tried the Belt Mountain website for the past couple of weeks with no success.  Does anyone know if they are still in business?  Kelye made an excellent base pin for my Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter a couple of years ago and I just wanted to check out the site.

Yes. They are I called and ordered 2 base pins from about 2 weeks ago. Midway kept saying they were Out of Stock, so I ordered direct. Very fast shipping.

 ???
What's this base pin problem everyone's talking about?
Does it wear out or break?
Sorry, but I'll be buying a BH soon and don't know what the issue is with the base pin.
Thanks.

Stuart..You might want to pose that same question under it's own posting...It would get more attention that way.

most are fitted to loosly and will jump out with heavy recoil and once the pin has jumped the gun wont function. the belt mountain pins are fitted tighter and have a locking screw on them to insure they wont jump.
