I'd also say I don't want to hunt with this guy.   ;D

Take care,

My goodness!  One reason why I do not shoot at crowded or public ranges.  Had I been there or been the shooter, I would have offered a special thanks on Sunday morning.

They were even stronger before they broached the satin slide bolt raceway all the way through the receiver ring.  :P

That barrel could affect accuracy.

Wouldn't notice any difference in accuracy if it was a Ruger!

From reading the captions, it appears that the barrel burst because the shooter forgot to remove a boresighter before firing.  You can't really fault any manufacturer for that.  You put a big obstruction in the barrel and it's usually gonna split.

I have seen these pictures before. It has nothing to do with how strong the action is. The action held together just fine. The idiot that left his bore sight in the barrel is the one a little weak. It would wreak any barrel, I do not care who made it. If it was a heavy barrel, it still would have bulged it; if not split it too. One good thing is that it only takes a new barrel, barrel wrench and an action wrench and you are back in business. Maybe an inspection of the bolt head and action just to be sure. Try that with any other gun out there. ::)

Well; you would have to cut off the bad part of the barrel to get your barrel wrench over it ;D ;D ;D Of course then you could have a Striker ::)
