25.06 AI load data needed

Anyone have any load suggestions for any bullets in a 25.05 AI?

The Sierra Manual lists a lot of load data for the .25-06AI.  What powders are you planning on using?   They had best be on the slow side.....

Don't know I have lots of IMR7828 but as of yet I cant get a good load. I'm going to use mag primers to see if it makes a difference.

What bullet weights?  Sierra shows data for RL-25 and H1000, both close to IMR7828.  They worked best with 100-115 grain bullets.  Magnum primers are a must for this powder.  Long barrels help too.

The classic method for developing AI loads is to start with the maximum load data for the standard .25-06, then increase one grain at a time.  You may be able to get up 3 to 6 more grains of powder before reaching a max load for your rifle.  You should probably use a magnum primer, or at the least a 'hot' standard primer like the WLR.   

The listed maximum .25-06 load in the Nosler manual with 115-grain bullets is 54.0 grains of IMR7828.   7828 gives the best combinaion of velocity and accuracy in my .257 Weatherbys with that bullet weight.

Even though the Sierra people had different results, RL25 did the best in my Sendero 26", but powder lot & alot of things come into play. Retumbo is a hair slow, but in 115gr & heavier bullets it is worth trying & according to Hodgdon 2006 Annual, it gave better vel. than any other H. powder for bullets 115 & over in the smaller, std. case, much less the bigger case. I will try RL25 next spring, Lord willing to see if it can edge RL25 in my 25-06AI with the 125gr. Wildcat bullet.  And yes as I said a couple of weeks ago, the long tube helps.
