well....if you have a place...I saw a spot on the outdoor channel....of a way to dig a hole , and drop in a small lined "pond".........along a trail or known deer haunt...........make it flush with the ground if possible...maybe a 3 or 4 inch lip....fill a few 55 gallon tanks and fill it....showed how to make a grade or to "trench to it, so rainwater runoff will fill it...all I know is.......every critter in the woods or field would come to it now.........dry as toast ......also said leave a longer branch in it, one that sticks out, so if a varmint fell in , or rodents, it could crawl out and would not foul the tank...
I know alot of folks hunt tanks...or ponds as they call them here.....better check the Missouri legal stuff to see if this is deemed as baiting....I don't hunt tanks except for varmints.....rules may not allow that for deer in MO..
