Ditto, I used one on a 44 Mag Handi rifle for about 2 months and the 300 gr XTP's killed it after 100 odd shots. This was a simillar Simmons 8-point model. The eye relief is great for the mounting position, but the eye box or whatever you want to call it was not very forgiving. I had to do a lot of adjusting to get a consistent sight picture. I tried another on an SKS and it was too short. Simmons made a slightly better model with 4 inch eye relief.......can't remember what it was called but it had diamond reticle, supposedly a little tougher.
If yours holds up then it should be pretty handy. I liked mine a lot and was disappointed when it failed. Went to conventionally mounted 3-9 Trophy.
