My son has a bird feeder for the good birds (doves, cardinals, finches and other song birds) his problem is that starlings and sparrows infest the feeder and run the other birds off.  He gets one shot and the starlings take off.  Now to the question is it possible to silence the loud pop when the pellet gun goes off so that he can get multiple shots?  He is experimenting with PCV pipe. Thanks

If you want to be legal I suggest looking at an AirForce Talon SS.
Silencers are legal in Great Britain. British BBS's talk about them and sometimes post pictures.

Hope this will help,

Gene

is it illegal to use a silencer on a pelletgun?  I will tell him to quit immediately.

Please check out this link:

http://www.beemans.net/silencers_on_airguns.htm

They are best left alone.
There is a lot of info on silencers & sound moderators available from search engines.
Most, but not all British dealers will refuse to sell one to an American or Canadian.

Have a nice day,

Gene

Thanks Powderhorn that was a great article, I have told him to cease even thinking about it.
