First time poster....

Hi everyone! I was directed here by a fellow named George and after a quick browse through this sure looks like a great site!

A little about myself, I am married and have 3 boys 3 girls and 3 bird dogs. I quit drink'n and smoke'n about 26 years ago and have but one addiction now mess'n with guns! I am kinda a small caliber type of guy but like em all, just some better than others.

I have one synthetic NEF with 4 barrels, 22 Hornet, 223, 243, 44 Mag plus a couple of 22s and shotguns.

Right now I am in need of a SB2 receiver for a project I am working on for this year Youth Deer hunt for a laminated stock and a 44 mag barrel. A few other long range future NEF projects include a 218 Bee, a Rimmed 221 FB and I sure would luv to do a Rimmed 257 Roberts that I already have the brass for.... Some of these might turn into 17 & 20 calibers (especially the R 221 FB).

Anyways thanks for the great site looks like I have plenty of catching up to do for now!!!

Welcome to GBO!! I'm pretty sure there's at least one SB2 frame available in the NEF Classifieds right now. ;)

Welcome to GBO , lots of Handi guys here , by all means do a 218 Bee , i have one and just love it . Mine was a simple re-chamber of a 20" 22 mag Sportster barrel .

I have been giving a lot of thought to doing a 17 Improved Bee to go with the 218 as my close range P-dog rigs .

thanks guys!

I'll look for the SB2 frame tonight!!!

The 218 Bee is high on my list since it will be easy to do!! I think the 17 Bee would be awesome on a NEF and even a 20 Bee if there was an easy way to do it. I shoot both a 17 & 20 Killer Bee and they are great!!!

Glad you made it, do believe you'll enjoy this bunch of shooters.  Like the small cal
nuts on Saubier.com, these guys have their own field with the NEF's.
One person you'll find seems to know more about these guns than most anyone
else is:  Tim, aka Quick. When you can't find what you're lookin for, ask him.
Another member here that's made several conversions is Ltrotter. He's pretty sharp too.

When you get started on that .17 project, get an HMR, or 17M2 barrel to butcher.

They'll fit right up to the centerfire actions.  Might need to touch 'em up a bit,
but, lot's of info in the sticky's and FAQ's.  Fill that ink cartridge and load the paper
bin as you'll want to print out a booklet of all the great info on here.
