7mm TCU bbl
« on: July 28, 2007, 02:00:48 PM »
I have a buddy that has a 16 1/4" custom shop Contender bbl in 7mm TCU with a set of dies he wants to sell.
What is it worth? He would also trade for a rifle bbl in 223.
This was his daughter's deer rifle for the last 3 yrs. She is older now and wants a 7-08 in a bolt rifle.
He would sell the whole rifle also. Frame, wood stock and forearm with bbl and dies. Approx $$ for the whole package ??

A whole lot has to do with its condition.  If the barrel is in very good condition (i.e. no scratches except frame wear, clean bright bore) $175 is about top dollar.  Good frames run about 200, stock and and forearms about another $40 to $60 in great shape.  Most folks will say 375 to 400 is fair as a rig with dies.  Easy open frames are worth more than pre 195000.
