17HMR Sportster Range Report 11-17
« on: November 17, 2007, 02:09:31 PM »
Took the Sportster to the range today. I just got a pallet wood Monte Carlo
stock and wood forend from the factory yesterday. I couldn't wait to take that
ugly plastic hardware off and replace it with wood. It looks 100% better! I didn't
have time to bed the forend. I plan on doing that soon. It was shooting pretty
good at 50 yards. There was a breeze that opened up the groups at 100 yards.
Next time I plan on shooting the Sportster at 100 first right after I get there
before the wind picks up. The Hornady 17 gr V-Max shot the best today.
I love this rifle! I have a feeling it is going to be a real shooter! ;D
