More excitement
« on: September 01, 2007, 12:57:57 PM »
I got a call from my wife Wednesday at work. My mother had a severe stroke that morning and it didn't look as though she would survive. We loaded up and took off to Pensacola. When we got there Wednesday night, it still looked bad. Thursday morning there was some improvement, and by Friday morning she could talk fairly well, open and close her left hand and raise her arm a bit, and move her left foot and leg.

My wife was starting to hurt a lot, as she is still recuperating from her hip replacement, and my sister from N.Y. flew in, so we decided that there was enough help available that I could take my wife back home.

We got back home near midnight Friday. Wife is doing better, and my last phone call to P-cola was encouraging.

Glad to hear "encouraging". Hope all is well. It's a long road recovering from strokes. I've seen a bunch. But recovering is better than the alternative. Hope all is well.
