All of this makes one wonder if it I should start making my own bullets...
Mac

I have everything to make my own jacketed bullets, in fact i use to mfg and sell bonded core bullets...

It's not easy to make a bullet as you good as you can buy today, and after having said all of that, i still prefer NP's for my hunting!

Got to shoot the fusions from my 25-06 pro hunter today. 3 out of four were touching at 100 and about an inch at 300.

Federal hit a homer on this one.

Yup...I've shot them in my 223...243...25-06..270..308..30-06...all have been very accurate to exceedingly accurate...and from what I've been told...they will be coming out with more calibers next year as well...I'm looking forward to shooting some of their 45-70 loads..

I know it won't be real easy...but...might be fun to try my hand at it...if the cost isn't to prohibitive..

Well, all you have to do is pony up one or two thousand dollars and you can make your very own "hunting" bullet that will "compete" with the best ones made today....  Good luck to you getting one that will be as good though...

I use to make zillions of them for cheap shooting in my 12ga./.222 0/U..  I still have all the dies to do that too, although i haven't made any in a long long time...
