Homemade drop tube pic at above link. After seeing the 40.00 $ price for store bought I made this one from stuff laying around the garage. The tube is
an old aluminum arrow that I sprayed with copper paint. Total cost about two dollars. You may have to copy and paste the above link to your address bar

Never could quite grab that picture but I would believe that it does look and work well.  I used a 1/2 inch copper pipe that has a reducer on one end and an enlarger (?) on the top.  I used two eye hooks and made a platform similar to those pictured that people pay big bucks for.  I also use my tube to roll/flatten my lube that is inserted into the cases.

Mine is two feet of copper plumbing, a reducer jammed on the bottom, and a funnel in the top.  Two copperpipe brackets hold it onto a base made from two pieces of 2 X 4, one flat, and the other verticle behind it
