Archery season is less than 2 weeks away.  Is anyone besides me going to be bow hunting this season?

hey Mark....this is jeff  near san antonio. I hunted opening day, and saw 2 mature bucks only minutes into the hunt.  the body condition looks great so far, and i think it is going to be a great season.  it is going to be hard to see them on my farm, cuz we have had near 50 inches of rain so far this year!

Not bow hunting, but I was out opening weekend (Level 3 MLD property). I saw four nice looking bucks, but too young. I saw three does, but never got a shot because the youngest buck (1 1/2 yo) kept chasing them around in the woods. They all looked well fed.

The weeds were so high in the clear areas that you could just see their heads. Come on frost!

Gents, it sounds like you both are going to have a nice season this year, at least you are seeing deer.  I saw only one doe last Sat morning.  Like you the spring rains have left things quite green.  Right now acorns are beginning to fall pretty heavily.  Hopefully before gun season opens, the temps will cool off a good bit.
