Scope recommendation
« on: August 15, 2007, 03:26:08 PM »
Anybody have any recommendations for a compact 4x or 2x7 scope for a BL22 around or under $100.  I would like to use my Browning for squirrel hunting, but want to put as small a scope on there as possible (I really hate to scope the cute little thing, but my 45 year old eyes aren't as sharp as they used to be).   I have a 2x7 VXI on my CZ452 that makes a great combination, but would like to find something a bit smaller and less money (about half what the VXI cost).  Any suggestions?

Nikon Prostaff 4x32 or the Weaver 2-7x28, possibly the 4x32 Weaver too. I have the Weaver 2-7x on a 17M2 NEF, it's a sweet little Japan made scope. Have a couple Nikon Prostaffs that are excellent budget scopes also, they're made in the Philippines. ;)

Thanks quick.  The 4x weaver looks interesting (size down to 10.25 inches and 8.5 ounces).  Looking for something small and with decent optics.  I may have to check that one out.
