The sale of weapons is highly regulated by the government, and these items can harm the eBay Community. For these reasons, eBay restricts the sale of weapons to a very few types, and these sales can take place only under very specific conditions.

For example, members are permitted to sell certain legal gun parts and accessories, including:
- Barrels
- Butt plates
- Holsters
- Firing pins
- Pistol grips
- Stocks
- Scopes
- Trigger assemblies
- Trigger guards

However, the sale of certain parts and accessories are prohibited by California law. As a result, certain types are *not* allowed on eBay. These items include:
- Products that work with short-barreled shotguns or short-barreled rifles
- Fully automatic weapons
- Large-capacity magazines
- Multiburst trigger activators
- Camouflaging firearm containers

Sellers are also not permitted to list the following firearm-related items:
- Silencers, including airsoft, replica, or toy silencers
- Converters (items that provide automatic capability to firearms)
- Kits that allow users to build illegal, firearm-related items such as firearms, flares, flare launchers, flare guns, flare gun receivers, silencers, and short barrels

Please note: violation of this or other eBay policies may result in forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings, limits on account privileges and account suspension.

I got an email yesterday from canceled on a current listing of a barrel that I had listed.  It was canceled stating that barrels are no longer permitted.  I checked again this morning and the policy clearly states no barrels.

Why worry about that liberal gun hating NATO oriented place? If you guys want to buy & sell there...have at it...I will neither buy nor sell 1 item with them...The only thing they are worried about is getting a bad name...TOO LATE...it's already happened...The one thing they forget is gun lovers have looooooooooooooong memories...and we won't forget...

I do use ebay a bit, for items other than gun parts. I even have an active bid on a scope on there now. I regret that they are not gun friendly and that they cave to media crap talk, but it is what it is. I wish gunbroker.com was more popular with people offer god deals. I just can't seem to find anything on there that I can't buy cheaper a hundred other places.

Personally, I have given up trying to only deal with gun friendly companies. I am wearing Levi's jeans, I bought some school supplies at K-mart this year. I even sang along with a Dixie Chick's song last week. I wish every company had the intestinal fortitude to stand on their principles, but alas most are only out to make money. (not that they had principles to begin with)

It seems to be another notch in the belt of American degradation. We can just do our best to raise our children to believe in what's right and hope that they remember what we teach.

Right on Mac, I did exactly what I said I would do and NO MORE EBAY and NO MORE  PAYPAL they are history. Since it's my money it will be spent else where and no I don't look back. I won't be buying anything else from anyone with links to ebay. We need to remember to support those who value our ideals and interests . Yes private company's can do as they want to and we can go somewhere else to get our items. We need to remember that they also give   support to groups that would love to change the laws of our land that will take away our rights.I am not an NRA member but probably should be as they know who a lot of those corporate people are and the money they spend to groups who want to take away our  basic rights.
I believe we need to support those who share our ideals and our outdoor values and GBO should be at the top of every ones list.  just the way I see it.  Freedom  is not free.                    Jack

I stopped even going too Flea-Bay anymore. I hope all gun owners would do the same.
I had stopped using PayPal sometime ago for their anti-gun polices.

Just realized something. I have actually recieved two of these type messages from Ebay each being one day apart. The original post contains the first of the two and here is the second. See if you can see the changes. Notice that barrels and trigger assemblies are allowed in the first but not in the second. Sheeesh , they need to make up their minds at least.

That's cuz those making the decisions don't have a clue what a barrel or a trigger is or does!! ::)

It does sound like they don't know what they are banning and what they are not. I just did a search for NEF and found 3 barrels for sale right now. I think I will go ahead with my promise to them to cancel my account even though it looks like they may not totally stop selling all gun related items right now I bet they eventually will. Charlie
