I am finally going to try using these.  My question is which color and which size have you had the most luck with?  I was thinking either the 4 or 5"  but I am lost on the color.  Thanks

Try 5" Blue /Black Laminate, but the colors all depend on water color and clarity. Sometimes the most off the wall things work and other times more natural looking baits work. Use a 3/0 WMG Gamakatsu hook and set them up weedless. They are heavy enough to cast a long ways without extra weight and they sink slowly but not to slow. I always crush the barb on the hook flat. It makes it much easier to unhook the bass and does far less damage to them....can't remember the last time I killed one...even a deep swallowed one. Put'em back alive and cath them a pound heavier!!!

I use 4" shad or baby bass . Sometimes they prefer the 6". Let the fish tell you what they want. The senco is my goto bait!!

I went out and got some. Now my question is what is your preferred way to rig them up??  I have heard whacky is the way to go.  If so what kind of hook are you all using??  Thanks again

I've been  using the red Gamagatsu octopus hook for wacky rigging.

I use them wacky and Texas, try both and let the bass tale you how they want them. For Texas I use a 3.0,4.0, or 5.0 hook to slow or speed the fall. For wacky I use a small rubber O ring slid midway over the senko and a small circle hook with a weed guard. I fish them in a lot of timber and this method  saves hang ups and wear on the Senko.

I made up some carolina rigs using a 1/8oz brass weight with a brass bead for a noise maker with a cajun redline leader and an eagle claw weedless hook.

I use the senko and the BPS stick o worms too.  The red/orange color with the redflake work for me.  I hook it in the center. I just cast it out and twitch it as it falls.

Hook size matters too.  On the very large BPS sticko's i lost a really big bass by the hook being too small.  The bigger the hook the better on the larger plastic baits.

On the 4" to 7" senko type baits i'm using a #3 weedless hook and on the larger BPS sticko's i'm up to a #5 hook.

I also use that adjustable plastic slider on my carolina rig too I can quickly adjust the length of my leader in seconds.  BPS has them.

I find as the weather heats up its time to go with plastics.
