Anybody reload for their Taurus

The reason I am asking is I want a 41mag. The only company that I have found that makes a DA 41 mag is Taurus. I am wondering how hot you can load the Taurus say vs a ruger or smith.

You should be able to load it to S&W levels. Only A Ruger or Dan Wesson would be my choice for real Hot loads.

I think S&W is offering several double action 41 magnums. I have heard they will be bringing back the 4 inch 57 in their retro line.

I have a 41mag RB 6.5"  I love it! Mine had a great trigger out of the box.  I've taken 3 hogs and about a dozen rabbits.  I loaded the 210 jsp rem to as high as 21.5 grs with H110 there were no high pressure signs but it was a handful I had my best accuracy with 20grs.

i have a ruger blachawk 41 mag and after two years i think i have finally settled on a load. in a ragin bull 41 mag you would certainly have just as capable a revolver,and they are a good lookin piece.try 20.1 grains 296 a winchester large pistol prime and a 210 gr xtp. should shoot well for you. good luck with your choice.dan

I was loading for my 6.5" raging bull in .454 casull, and did some test loads using 200 grain cast bullets. 

Starting at 31 grains of H110, I was getting good velocities around 1500+fps.  I moved up from there, but once getting up to 33 grains, the muzzle flash was huge, lots of flame out the barrel.  These loads would definitely need a longer barrel to be fully effective.  I made my way up to 35 grains at which I was getting up to 1800+ fps at 5 feet from the chrono.  I would expect higher velocities with jacketed bullets, I just had a lot of cast lead lying around, so decided to make some test loads.  The 33 grainers delivered the most consistant and seemingly efficient load for this barrel length, though that is where the high muzzle flash started.

Even when loading to the top end, my RB has handled all the loads I have put through it just fine.

Those were 250 grain cast bullets, not 200's, typo
