Hi Everybody! I'm new to the group.

Hi! I just joined and have been reading many of the posts and have learned lots. I have a CHL and consistantly carry my Para Companion .45cal. I love shooting all kinds of guns: handguns (prefer semi-a), 12 gauge shotguns, rifles, etc, etc. I also just bought a Desert Eagle in 50AE. AWESOME GUN! My husband and I usually go shooting every other weekend just to keep things interesting. This is my first time really getting into d-forums and I'm finding I learn more every time.
Just thought I'd say "Hi" from Salem, OR.   :D

Well Howdy! Welcome to the fun. There are lots of knowledgable folks here, and lots of opinions. I too have learned a lot here over the years, and it's always nice coming back to see what is going on. Enjoy!

"Hi" back to ya.  I really enjoy this site and have learned a lot as well.

My bride carries a 38 Det Spec. Not as much as I would like her too, but  quite a bit when she is out alone.

There has been some long debates by us guys on what guns a lady would prefer. It would be nice for some of you gals to throw your thoughts in on that. What are your likes (and dislikes) of your 45 auto?

Just read your post on the other thread!  My wifes story is similar. This happened about 20 yrs ago. Her truck broke down and two truckers stopped as if to help her and kidknapped her instead. She was able to jump over the rider and out the passenger door of the semi as it went through a town. She was increadibly lucky on how it turned out. She then wanted to take a handgun course and get a permit, which she did and has carried ever since.

She now is a firearms saftey instructer and I am trying encourge her to get certified, as an instructor, along with me to teach a concealed carry course for permit applicants of Minnesota's new concealed carry law.

I guess I better say 'HI'! from Pennsylvania. Don't give up on the .45. My wife shots my Kimber and 625 Mountain gun all the time. She prefers her .357 so what do I know. Stay on the site, you'll learn a lot, maybe. You may know more than us but I'm sure you'll share that with us.
The first shot is the best shot, it may be your only shot!  Do it with a single-shot.
