Beating up Crows
« on: September 04, 2007, 08:01:51 PM »
Hey all,

Just thought I'd show you a couple of pests that have fallen to my Marlin 925 with a Tasco 3-9 X 40.

I live in a small country town of aboriginal people in the middle of Australia. The rubbish dump here is a haven for crows. I arrived here and have vowed to reduce their numbers somewhat. THERE IS NO CROW SEASON HERE. ITS ALL YEAR!
On my days off from work, I go out with my 925, a handful of Winchester Power Points and shoot as many crows as I can. Shots range from 50-100 metres.

I was shooting crows and thought of you all, so I took a photo of one.
Also attached one of the bunnies.

Hope you all enjoy
Matt

Nice looking rifle.   And that rabbit looks pretty big.   Here in our small community in Oklahoma we had a trash landfill, and it had rats as big as cats.    About five of us would go there on weekends with our .22's and got lots of fun shooting in.    :)
Enjoy your rights to keep and bear arms.

Here in the States the Feds made the dang crows a game bird  >:( They have a season on them and I do not know about other states but in WI you can only use a shotgun on them legally though I suspect more than a few fall to rifles.
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

I love sniping at crows with my Savage .17 HMR! Do you guys call them? It's easy and great fun! Keep whacking those dung-birds!

Some days you're the bug, some days you're the windshield.
