I went to the range today to try that Ncstar 2 by 7 scope out on my 14" 223 barrel. I was worried at first but the scope worked ok. The clarity was good and the zero didn't move after 40 rounds. I'll keep using it and let you know if something goes wrong with the scope.For the price I don't figure it will hold but I've been wrong before.

I put a 4x32 NCstar on my 35 remington barrel this week.Everything is okay so far about 35 rounds.One thing i noticed is that it took a lot of adjusting to move point of impact.15 clicks to move impact 1" at  50 yds it should be 8 clicks for an inch at 50 yds i think.If i'm right 1/4" per click at 100 yds and 1/8" click at 50 yds.

opussom and wheel gun - Glad to hear this low cost alternative is working out for you! Would one of you two be kind enough to do an experiment that nobody has done yet with these scopes? Find out how much moisture they will take. I keep reading threads that say how good they look , and how clear they are, and how well they work; but no-one has put them through a realistic moisture test yet. My questions are: 1) How clear and water tight are they when I'm in the field for 10 hours in a lite mist w/ wind? and 2) Are these things going to cloud on me when they've been in 15 degree air and I get my warm breath on the lens while trying to aquire my sight picture?

I'm not trying to make these scopes look bad, I just would like to see someone actually evaluate one.

:cry: my 2x7x32 ncstar would not adjust up enough. the vertical adjustment messed up. :cry:  but my 2.5x is still kickin on the 22/45 ruger bull barrel.  :grin: they are not a definate fix but well worth a try for the money invested. they look as good as most i've looked thru but my luck just didn't fall right this time. i decided not to try out the lifetime warranty and just forked out some dough for a 2x7 burris. i been wanting one for a while anyway.

I guess I'm going to have to try one of these on my .22LR barrel. Shouldn't be too much recoil there. I sure would like to get a 2x for hunting those tree rats.
I will try to order one this week and get it mounted.
