Action on Both my theft cases, sort of.
« on: September 19, 2007, 12:31:54 PM »
Just got off the phone with the Alaska State Troopers.  They called with good news.

First:  The Ruger Mini-14 that some low life stole off my snowmachine in 1996, has turned up in a BATF audit of a gun shop in Virginia.  This gun shop has had it go through their possession several times.  They turned the name of the original seller to them over to the authorities.  The Alaska Troopers said they will request it be shipped to them so they can return it to me.

Second:  The person I and several neighbors suspect stole my 30-06 Handi barrel with the Shepard scope, and many more items too numerous to mention, has been arrested in Fairbanks on armed robbery charges.  He was arraigned yesterday, and it looks good that he will serve time.  Too bad they can't connect him with the thefts of all the houses here in our area.  Local teens say he was the one riding my motorcycle that was also stolen at that time, that was later recovered.
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

That's good news on the Ruger, getting it back after all those years. Now if only I could get my Ruger 10-22 back after about that same time period and my Colt Agent a few years before that, I would be happy.

Congrats on getting one back and catching the low life puke that took the other stuff.
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.
