1970 m77 flat bolt
« on: September 03, 2007, 11:49:20 PM »
Have a 1970 ruger m77 flat bolt, would like to change the front sight.  The plunger hole on the front sight base is located in front of the blade toward the muzzle side.  All the replacement blades have the plunger hole on the receiver side of the front sight base; appreciate any help on this.
                                     Thanks, Harley101

I would speak to a Customer Service rep from New England Custom Gun, as they used to make both versions (in several heights/styles), even though the type you need is no longer shown on their website.

You might also give Ruger customer service a call. They may not have what you want but be able to suggest an alternative source. The Ruger collectors association would also be a good place to make contact. Good luck.
