I am still hanging in there, happier than ever in fact.
I don't by one brand, in fact I hardly have a manufactures match in rifles or shot guns. Guess Like mixing it up?
I doubt I will ever trade my Handi Hornet. Yes, I had to play with it but they are simple and I took my time. The big improvement for consistent accuracy came when I shimmed and epoxy bedded the forearm lock up then floated the front. This and a couple other things kept the p.o.i. consistent. I couldn't be happier with the Handi Hornet for a walking varmint gun. Just use a Lee Classic Loader to re-load. I will work the trigger this winter and maybe touch up the crown for something to do.
I like hunting it as much as my Winchester pre war M-70 S.G. collectors gun 22 Hornet.
Not sure I would get another with intentions of a bench rifle per say. But they sure balance and carry well for walking guns. As another here mentioned "the Handi Hornet is just to cute to part with". I agree
