fisher, marten sets

hey guys havent trapped since high school now im gonna try it agian at 39 yrs old but need any info with fisher and marten sets and bait for these two never trapped these animals thank you really excited for this year really rekindled some old memories thanks again

It depends on where you are located, when your season is and how much if any snow you have on the ground in your season.
I have incidentally caught more fisher at dirthole sets made for canines and lured with a skunky smelling lure than I can remember counting so I know that is a good set before snowfall.
Generally speaking, there is a considerable snow on the ground here in fisher and marten season and trappers either prefer cubbies guarded with a body grip trap or leaning poles above snow line with a body grip trap. Skunky smelling call lures are great on both fisher and marten and trappers in my area generally use beaver meat as a bait along with the lure. Ace

 Asa  gave very good information like always !  My bait of choice would be Beaver fleshings.   Loud skunky lures are always popular with Fisher and Marten trappers.  Anise seems to entice both species also !  Both animals have a bit of a sweet tooth and will readily work a set with Rasberry jam or similar.
