anybody ever go desert

i'm thinking about desert painting one of my handis any of you ever done it or have a web site with instructions
curiosity killed the cat , but i was lead suspect for a while

never did care for that shade I kind of like the olive drab guess that dates me.

 Some of the guys that are building bull barrel 10/22's are doing that sort of thing. try looking on rimfirecentral.com and see if there's anything you like. Lowes sells some camo type paint that comes in a flat finish. I can't remember if it's Rustoleum or Krylon but I remember they have it.

i got sent to the desert early , NTC stinks, but the training in cali was some of the funnest i've had

I  camo my rifles with Khakis and muted browns/greys so they are close to "desert" camo,i call it prarie camo.I coat everything plastic or wood with duracoat bedliner and then use a base coat of "sandstone" automotive paint as a base,then i do the highlihts with Krylon camo paints.
If it aint fair chase its FOUL,and illegal in my state!
